Valley HotSpots
Where are the free Valley Wireless HotSpots?

In Amherst I know of Rao's and Bart's, but know there must be many more!

Re: Valley HotSpots
There is one at Cafe Koko in Greenfield, it seems to be free so far

another 'good' resource at least in major areas is:
ZoneFinder

If anyone wants to setup a hot spot, do let me know, we know how, either free or via subscription

Re: Valley HotSpots
Northampton has official access at the WoodStar Cafe, and limited access at the Haymarket Cafe. Unofficially, there are many other open hot spots throughout town.

Re: Valley HotSpots
Just found this:
http://www.wi-fihotspotlist.com

It shows a dozen more or so for the valley, both public and 'sponsered
private' - it is limited to a 10 mile radius so you can't get an
easy report of the whole valley sad

Re: Valley HotSpots
For Northampton Folks, I just found out wi-fi access at javanet is free and seems to be more reliable than haymarket.

Re: Valley HotSpots
Plus at Javanet, you can easily plug in your power cord if your battery starts to go. Try finding a power outlet at Haymarket or Woodstar!

Re: Valley HotSpots
In Easthampton there is now free Wi-Fi at Cottage Street Coffee (formerly Capo's Café) and at Mt. Tom's Ice Cream, also on Cottage Street.

Re: Valley HotSpots
In Northampton, Forbes Library has free wifi and you don't have to buy anything.
