“Mindfulness provides a simple but powerful route for getting ourselves unstuck, back into touch with our own wisdom and vitality. It is a way to take charge of the direction and quality of our own lives.”
— Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Community Members,
We live in challenging times. Our energy, attention and personal resources may feel stretched too thinly. Taking good care of ourselves can easily become a low priority — perhaps until we experience some sort of crisis.
The programs I offer through Valley Mindfulness are intended to support all those who would like a greater sense of ease, balance and well-being in their lives. Those coping with stress, pain and illness are especially welcome.
* If you would like a brief, experiential introduction to mindfulness practices, please come to “A Taste of Mindfulness” on January 16.
Click for more info.
* If you would like to develop skills and awareness for your own self-care and for helping others, please come to the “Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction” course. The next session meets on Tuesday evenings beginning January 23, 2007.

* If you would like to learn in a time and place that meets your particular needs, please consider individual Mindfulness “coaching” sessions. Feel free to call me for more information.

The Harvard Women’s Health Watch newsletter (Feb. 2004) from Harvard Medical School stated:
“There is mounting evidence that cultivating mindfulness can increase our enjoyment of life, expand our capacity to cope with illness, and possibly improve our physical and emotional health… It can reduce stress and may help other treatments work better.”
Enjoy the beautiful fall season. Be well.
