access data base using images
looking to buddy up with access or vb programmer's and web. Starting my own business in Pioneer Valley/Northampton. --formerly cobol programmer (recently studied vb, web, java, networking) -- i have ideas and am working to implement on my own, but find it very difficult when compared with working in the office where there are people to bounce around ideas when hitting a dead end --
immediate problem i am having is in trying to read an access data base containing images (ole) - after doing a select when i go to getrow, i can retrieve data ok - but when i try to utilize the image stored as an ole object the program gets blown away --
crying - thanks for any input on this -

Researched this and determined that is not possible to place an image from an access data base directly into a picturebox.
the command for assigning to the picture of a picture box
is picture1.picture = LoadPicture("filename")
where filename is a file --

only solution is to write the image to a disk and then use aforementioned
