Need help with image map and sounds
I'm trying to create an image map with several areas which when you click on them a sound (short mp3) will play (a different sound for each area).

I'm not a programmer and am having a terrible time piecing this code together from what I can glean on the web. I've tried EMBED, OBJECT, and now some JAVASCRIPT... and have *some* stuff working....

But maybe it's time to throw in the towel - start from scratch. Any suggestions? Is this easy enough to get through my block here on the forum or maybe I should hire some knowledgeable person. Anyone interested?

Yea if you want to "embed" the sound so an external app doesnt open to play the file. you'll need to use javascript in your image map href to queue up flash or quicktime or eww windows media player.

I would go with posting the path of an audio file to an flash swf.

or setup a target frame to load the audio file in that is 1x1 pixels and hope the default media player plays them.
